Cape Cod and the surrounding islands are home to arguably some of the most fantastic boating destinations in New England, and Fall is one of the best time to explore them. The crowds have thinned, the water is still warm, and the sunsets are spectacular. Here are some of our teams’ favorites:

Falmouth Harbor
We may be partial, but Falmouth Harbor is a booming destination an easy walk from downtown. The town green offers weekly concerts in the summer, and the multiple water view restaurants and easy dockage make this a spot not to miss. Check out the Flying Bridge Restaurant for award winning sushi!

Nantucket Harbor
Nantucket Harbor is a popular destination for boaters, known for its stunning scenery and vibrant atmosphere. The harbor offers ample docking facilities, and you can explore the charming cobblestone streets, unique shops, and fantastic dining options. The nearby mooring fields are perfect for anchoring while enjoying views of the historic lighthouse.

Edgartown Harbor (Martha’s Vineyard)
Edgartown Harbor is one of Martha’s Vineyard’s most picturesque spots. With its classic New England charm, the harbor is bustling with boats and offers great facilities. You can explore the scenic waterfront, visit local boutiques, and enjoy fresh seafood at waterfront restaurants. The nearby Chappaquiddick Island is easily accessible for a day trip.

Provincetown Harbor
Located at the tip of Cape Cod, Provincetown Harbor is a vibrant hub for boating. It’s well-equipped with marinas and mooring options, making it easy for boaters to access the lively town. The harbor is a great starting point for whale watching trips and offers beautiful views of the surrounding beaches and dunes.

Wellfleet Harbor
Wellfleet Harbor provides a more laid-back boating experience. The harbor is known for its natural beauty and offers excellent access to Cape Cod Bay. You can enjoy kayaking, paddleboarding, and exploring the surrounding tidal flats. The town itself has great restaurants and local art galleries.

Chatham Harbor
Chatham Harbor is a scenic spot with easy access to both the Atlantic Ocean and Cape Cod Bay. The harbor is surrounded by beautiful beaches and offers excellent fishing opportunities. Boaters can explore the nearby Monomoy National Wildlife Refuge, where you might spot seals and other wildlife (AKA GREAT WHITES!).

Hyannis Harbor
Hyannis Harbor is one of Cape Cod’s busiest and most accessible harbors, serving as a gateway to the islands. It offers a range of marina services and is a great spot for docking while you explore the town’s shops, restaurants, and beaches. Ferries to Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard also depart from here.

Barnstable Harbor
Located in the town of Barnstable, this harbor offers a tranquil setting with beautiful views. It’s perfect for boating, fishing, and exploring the surrounding marshlands. Nearby, you can find beaches and trails for hiking, making it a great spot for a full day of outdoor activities.

These harbors each offer their own unique charm and a variety of activities, and all are easily accessible from Falmouth Harbor and Flying Bridge Marina.
