This notice covers flyingbridgemarina.com, run by Flying Bridge Marina. It does not cover other websites we link to, such as the Boat Club registration pages, the online shop or boat show sites; those have their own policies.
Website accounts
An account is optional. Browsing inventory, reading the blog and sending us a message all work without one. If you create an account, we store:
- your name, email address and phone number;
- the city you live in, your home port and your current boat, if you add them;
- the boats you save and the searches you save for new boat alerts;
- your answers to quizzes such as What Boat Am I, and the result;
- a history of the tools you run, such as payment estimates and boat valuations, so you can see them again.
We use this to run your account and to help you: to show your saved boats, send the alerts you ask for, and let the team see what you are interested in when you get in touch. You can update your details on your account page. To close your account and have its data deleted, contact us as below.
Forms and HubSpot
When you contact us, request service, ask for a valuation or sign up for emails, what you enter goes to Flying Bridge Marina’s customer records in HubSpot, the CRM our sales and service teams work from. Photos attached to a service request or a valuation are stored in HubSpot with it. Creating an account also adds your contact details to HubSpot.
When you create an account you agree to receive communications from Flying Bridge Marina, including emails about boats, service and events. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to stop at any time. Texts are sent only if you ask for them, and replying STOP ends them.
We keep a short record of each form you send (what it was about, when, and the connection’s IP address) to show it in your account and to stop spam.
We do not sell your information.
Where it is stored
Accounts, saved boats and tool history are stored with Supabase, which provides this website’s database and sign-in. HubSpot holds contact records and form submissions. Both are service providers acting for Flying Bridge Marina.
Cookies and browser storage
- Sign-in: when you sign in, Supabase sets a session cookie that keeps you signed in. It is needed for accounts to work.
- HubSpot: HubSpot’s tracking code sets a cookie called hubspotutk, which links your visits to the forms you send so the team knows which pages you looked at. HubSpot may show a cookie banner that lets you accept or decline tracking cookies.
- Compare list: the boats you add to compare are kept in your browser’s local storage, on your device only.
