Yellowfin introduced the 48 Offshore on April 9, 2026. It fills the space between the 42 and 54 Offshore models, in a size the brand had never built before.
Yellowfin CEO Thomas Wieners said the boat "came directly from what our customers were asking for." Owners wanted the fishability and finish they expect from Yellowfin in a boat that could handle longer trips and rougher conditions.

A cockpit built for fishing
Yellowfin redesigned the transom to give the 48 more cockpit space without losing fishability. Two main livewells sit in the transom, each with an aquarium-style window, and dual dive doors carry boarding ladders.
Owners choose the transom setup that fits how they fish: a deep storage tub, helium tank storage, triple tuna tubes or pitch wells. An Omni sonar is built into the hull structure at the factory, and a Seakeeper 6 stabilizer is mounted where it takes no cockpit space.

Helm and cabin
The helm sits behind a fully enclosed glass windshield frame with dual wipers. Owners can spec triple 22-inch or dual 24-inch displays, and four A/C vents keep the helm cool on long runs.
Below, the console cabin is set up for overnight trips:
- Forward berth with reading lights and under-bed storage
- Electric drop-down dining table
- Private head with a ceramic toilet and a rainfall shower with its own water heater
- Galley with a refrigerator and microwave
- Side windows for natural light, plus an emergency exit hatch
Tower option
For anglers who want a higher view, a full-gap tower is available with an upper-station electronics box, teak ladder-back bench seating, a hardtop buggy top and a Gemlux Gulf Stream outrigger system.
Who the 48 is for
Yellowfin says it designed the 48 to be the most versatile boat in its class rather than the largest. The aim is one platform for owners who want tournament-level fishing and the comfort to stay out overnight, without choosing between a hardcore fishing boat and a luxury center console.
Yellowfin has started building the first hull.
