About the 42 Offshore
The Yellowfin 42 Offshore is built for crews who want to fish far offshore and stay out for more than a day. Yellowfin's description is "true multi-day capability" without giving up fishing ability. It takes triple or quad outboards, with a maximum of 1,700 HP.
Yellowfin starts from the 39 Offshore and adds "a real sub-deck cabin with genuine accommodations," dual-row helm seating and a slightly larger hull. A sub-console head is standard, along with a Seakeeper Ride 750 Quad, electric steering and C-Zone digital switching. Fishing equipment includes 14 Gemlux rod holders, seven more on the hardtop frame, a plumbed livewell in the transom with a second in the leaning post, and an insulated fish box with a gulper pump. A generator, air conditioning and a gyroscopic stabilizer are on the options list.
The builder says the 42 "competes with much larger inboard sportfish boats on the far offshore grounds," and that it can just as easily carry the whole crew to a distant destination.
Sea trials and sales of the 42 Offshore run through Flying Bridge Marina in Falmouth and Sanibel, a Yellowfin Factory Direct Partner. If you are moving up from another boat, the Sell or Trade service can value it.
