About the Sportster 25
The Sportster 25 is the shorter of the two Sportster family bowriders. Chris-Craft pitches it at "today's adventure seekers and watersports enthusiasts," and it suits families who want a Chris-Craft for towing and swimming.
Chris-Craft lists a persons capacity of 11 and a stated maximum of 400 HP. The sterndrive version takes Mercury V8 or Volvo V8 engines from 300 to 380 HP.
What sets it apart is the Surf version, which comes standard with a Wake Surf Technology Package: a Volvo Forward Drive, dual Volvo Wake Sports glass cockpit displays with speed control, Wake Worx surf tabs, a ballast system and a rearview mirror. The standard surf engine is a 350 HP Volvo V8-CE, with a 400 HP version offered.
The layout has a forward-facing bow lounger with storage, dual reversible helm seats that can face forward or aft, an adjustable port lounger and a sunpad lounger with storage. A manual submersible swim step lowers for getting in and out of the water, and a power-folding top includes a tow point. The helm has a custom Chris-Craft interface and a leather-wrapped stainless steel wheel. Flying Bridge Marina can arrange a Sportster 25 sea trial through its locations in New England and Southwest Florida.
